Scaffa
Society

scaffa /ˈskaf.fa/
noun
a drink built, mixed, & served at room temperature: no chill, no dilution, & no ICE.

We are an industry collective supporting neighbors impacted by accelerated ICE deployment. We aim to spark productive conversation and responsible action.

We’ve aggregated helpful guides and checklists plus links to legal advice and reputable groups that are working hard to support individuals affected. You’ll also find Scaffa inspiration here.

We don’t use AI, tracking, or cookies, but are beholden to the policies of our hosting platform, Cargo.
THE GOAL: act as a collective using our resources to foster an alert, responsible community, share information, support the industry, and keep our people safe

THE PLAN:

  • encourage Scaffa menu features in our accounts
  • individually support accounts when tapped
  • provide accounts with resources, whether they implement a menu feature or not
  • provide Scaffa recipes & inspiration

THE ADVANTAGE: Scaffa menu features don’t need to be overtly partisan. This eases potential friction points and invites more accounts and suppliers to participate.

THE WHY: On the supplier side, we are boots on the ground while visiting accounts. We have an obligation to support our community. We see Scaffas as an IYKYK opportunity to cultivate productive communication & responsible action.

THE ASK: Accounts should feature a Scaffa and use the word in the title or description. The feature can be verbal, LTO, or part of a menu flip. It can be that simple. Should they wish to do more, we’ve designed menus and guest-facing materials with à la carte options for:
  • what a Scaffa is
  • why it’s being featured
  • tips on workplace preparation & community reporting
  • links to the Scaffa Society website and all resources

If you’re interested in helping spread the word, you can download our materials or unformatted copy. You’re welcome to support your accounts as you see fit, personally and professionally.

We do encourage supporting accounts wishing to implement a donation component.

We hope that this becomes noteworthy and continues to help raise awareness.
